TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) – Sunday morning, around 1100 runners will be doing a lot of running in Tallahassee. For the 44th year, the Tallahassee Marathon returns to the Capital City, with 33 states represented.
A marathon, a half marathon, and a team marathon are all on top and those athletes that are participating will get a complete tour of Tallahassee by feet.
"They know about our capital which is great, but they don’t necessarily know about Cascades, they don’t know about Smokey Hollow, they don’t know about the Jake Gaither Legend, the beautiful St. Mark’s trail which is a paved, redesigned trail that was a railroad bed," said Gulf Wind’s Sheryl Rosen. "We’ve got a lot of gems that we’re trying to highlight."
The Tallahassee Marathon gets underway Sunday at 7:30.
